IT and Business
Campaign Goal: Support the blend of business and technology at the university. Support the university's magnet programs — the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management in Lincoln and the Peter Kiewit Institute in Omaha.
- Renovated the Peter Kiewit Institute — the joint base for engineering programs at UNL and information science and technology programs at UNO — to increase lab space by 40 percent and increase graduate student space by 20 percent.
- Attracted 336 students to the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management; these students are among the highest in the nation in ACT scores.
- Constructed Mammel Hall, a premier business education facility that has become a hub of learning and collaboration for UNO College of Business Administration students and faculty — and a place where local businesses gather.
- Began construction on an $84 million building to house the UNL College of Business Administration, enabling the college to enroll more students, recruit renowned faculty and compete as a top business school within the Big Ten.
